The first independent review platform built only for UK new-build homes. Real experiences — good and bad.
Always free for homeowners. Anonymous, always.
Verified and anonymous — how does that work? Think of a secret ballot: you prove to us privately that you're a real resident, then your review is published with your name removed. Verified to us; anonymous to everyone else.
A review tells the whole story — the champagne on moving-in day, and how your builder behaves once the money’s changed hands. Here’s how, in about five minutes.
Coverage shown to illustrate the issue is widely recognised — not an endorsement.

Snag Scout started with my father. For him, a new-build home was the reward for a lifetime of hard work — and when he became seriously ill, he set out to build it anyway. He moved in, but the house was full of problems, and putting them right became a battle. When he passed away in 2022, I took it on, and our family has lived with it ever since.
This was never just about us, though — and it isn’t anti-builder. The best builders turn up, take pride, and put things right; I saw it firsthand when a local builder rebuilt the house next door, proud of their work and keen to show it off. They get tarnished by the few who don’t, and they deserve to stand out from them.
So Snag Scout is built for both sides: a fair, independent record where good builders earn the recognition they deserve, and no buyer is left in the dark. You can read a thousand reviews for a £10 gadget — but for the biggest purchase of your life, all you get is glossy brochures. We’re here to change that — fairly, for everyone.
The things every reviewer wants to know first.
Praise a great builder, or get a poor one on the record. Either way, help build the South West’s first independent new-build review platform — free, anonymous, about five minutes.
